The selous game reserve is the largest protected game reserve on the African continent covering an area of 54,600 square kilometers comprised of a vast wilderness with forests, grassy plains, mountains and open woodlands. The reserve is located in the southern part of Tanzania along the southern Tanzania Safari circuit and offers the best escape from the large tourist crowds in the northern Safari destinations like Serengeti while offering you a remarkable wildlife experience. It is considered to be among the hidden gems in the county and offers a wide range of selous game reserve camps for accommodation.

Zanzibar Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve.

Early in the morning , Our driver will pick you up from your hotel at 6:00am to zanzibar airport., then take a flight at 8:00am to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park). then around 9:30 am arrival at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous where you will meet your tour guide who will transfer you for the check-in at your Lodge. Following with full day game drive Luck enough to spot the Big Five animals as elephants, lion, leopard, rhino and buffaloes. The other animals to spot zebras giraffes, wildebeest, bushbuck, oryx, hyenas and impalas are common in this area. The park is also known home of African wild dogs. Stop for picnic lunch which will be saved at vantage point while keep your eyes to more than 440 birds that found within the park. Later back to you lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Walking safari, boat and depart to Zanzibar.

On this last day, Early in the morning After breakfast leave for a romantic sunset boat safari along the Great Rufiji river. Will be awesome views of crocodiles basking on the banks, hippos growling, and with a lot of bird’s species to spot before heading back to your lodge for lunch then having 2 hours for walking accompanied by company guide and armed ranger. Come across in a green vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands then at 10:35pm you will take your flight and once after arriving zanzibar airport, Our driver will pick you up direct to your hotel depart to Zanzibar.
